Angela Llanes
VIOLIN INSTRUCTOR
Born & raised in Edinburg, TX, Angela Llanes began her violin studies at the age of 3 under her fathers instruction.
Her passion for music grew stronger as a teenager which granted her the opportunity to play in many prestigious music festivals including Interochen in Michigan and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.
She also won various awards as a soloist for state interscholastic music competitions. She studied with Emanuel Borok, former associate concertmaster of the Boston Symphony, at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and maintained a private violin studio in Frisco.
In 2022, she was awarded the position of Concertmaster at the Puerto Rico Summer Music Festival.
In 2023, she was awarded a scholarship to be a member of the Orchestre de la Francophonie in Montreal, Canada. She continues her studies with Dr. Diana Seitz at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and plays in several local symphonies.
